Matras Quests not working

There is a HB npc, named Matras.
He is at the inner oasis, near the Free the Natives instance where you go to start the Steel Citadel instance.
You are supposed to have 2 quests with him:
Matras Suspicious Request (collect red stones from mobs on Base Tower 1 and 2)
Matras Curiosity (collect blueprints from Ranku and Demon Prince)
The 2nd quest is especially needed for easier access to the Steel citadel itself. Thanks.

Any news on this quest?
The road to beleth is 10 hours+ in Retail. This quest allows you to play about halfway once (killing Ranku and Demon Prince),
then be able to leave to town etc. and go back later at the top of that tower for the second half of the journey. Thanks.
